1.5. Drafting and publishing procedures
Text processing system - For the electronic legislative procedure a special workflow and document processing system called PTJ (government decisionmaking system) is used. PTJ is based on the Documentum database software.
- The same system applies for primary and secondary legislation.
- Microsoft Word templates containing tailor-made macros and templates are used. These templates are converted either to XML or XYVision. Both formats are then converted into PDF for printing and online publishing.
Workflow PTJ is used, from drafting to publishing, as a single electronic workflow system (see above). Publishing - Staff of the ministries and the contractor proofread texts to be published.
- The minimum period between the reception of the draft by the printing house and the availability of the published text amounts to around one week (for the online edition), and two weeks for the paper edition.
- The paper and electronic edition are derived from the same final text file. They are not published at the same time (the online text is available around three to six days earlier than the paper edition).
