The Expert Group on Emergency Access has been established by the Communications Committee (COCOM). It gathers experts from relevant public bodies such as Ministries for Internal/Home Affairs, emergency response organisations and Ministries or regulatory bodies responsible for electronic telecommunications.
Its goal is to assist in:
(1) the Development of common European requirements for reaching and communicating with emergency response centre, and in the
(2) the Development of a common European emergency access interface, allowing emergency response centres to effectively use, treat and transfer the information provided to them via new technologies.
