The “Expanding the Evidence Base for the Design of Policy Influencing Consumer Choice for Products and Services with Environmental Impacts” (Influencing Consumer Choice) project aims to stimulate future research and investigation of consumer response to policy in order to inform future policy development. The project aims to identify and communicate to a wide audience the information needed by policy makers to develop more efficient consumer demand policy. This will be done by building upon the existing evidence base to collect more detailed existing information on aspects of consumer motivations and behaviours and highlight the further research work needed.
This project was launched and funded by the Directorate General for the Environment of the European Commission. Project partners include BIO Intelligence Service, the Policy Studies Institute (PSI), and Ecologic.
