This group, chaired by DG Environment (Unit B.2 - Biodiversity), aims at bringing together Member States' representatives and various stakeholders (including NGOs and scientific experts) to gather knowledge on the climate change-biodiversity nexus and to develop a strategy paper on biodiversity and climate change with a view to frame biodiversity and climate change policy for post 2010 including issues of Natura 2000 and ecological connectivity and the role of biodiversity and ecosystem services with regards to combating climate change.
