Accounting and Statistics i This Interest Group is concerned with the impact on European Official statistics of expected changes in EU accounting law and practice.
Action Plan for the collection and analysis of Community Statistics in the field of Migration i There is a growing need for good statistics about migration and asylum across Europe. These statistics are needed to help develop and monitor policy, and to provide the citizen with unbiased information on this issue of increasing public interest. Although most EU Member States, Accession and Candidate Countries already collect statistics on these topics, differences in data sources and definitions may mean that the statistics for one country are not readily comparable with statistics from another. The Action Plan includes measures to improve the quality, timeliness and comparability of these statistics and to ensure that information and analyses are available to all. Some of these measures - notably improved public availability of statistics and better co-ordination with relevant international organisations - are already being put in place. Other measures will be developed over the coming two years.

Agricultural Accounts and Prices i This Interest Group is a forum for debate and information in the context of the Eurostat Working Group “Agricultural Accounts and Prices (AAP)”. The work of this Working Group covers the following areas: Economic Accounts for Agriculture and Forestry (including regional agricultural accounts), Agricultural Price Statistics (APS) and Agricultural Labour Input (ALI) Statistics.

Balance of Payments - BOP i This interest group contains BOP basic documents (e.g. Vademecum, Compilation Guide, Technical Groups' reports) as well as a list of the latest publications. Constantly updated BOP Working Party papers are available for both consultation and downloading. To have a full access to all the documents contained in CIRCA-Balance of Payments, you must first login with a user-id recognised as a member of CIRCA-BOP. To become member of CIRCA-BOP, you must first "self register" and then send a request (with your user-id) to estat-circa-bop@cec.eu.int.

DireDate final seminar i On March 28, Eurostat arranged, in cooperation with the DireDate consortium, a seminar on "Farm data needed for agri-environmental reporting". The seminar was the final action of the project on "Direct and indirect data needs linked to the farms for agri-environmental indicators", called "DireDate" that the European Commission has financed. Education, Training and Culture statistics i Eurostat activities in the area of Education and Training statistics include the UNESCO-OECD-Eurostat (UOE) data collection on education, the Continuing Vocational Training Survey (CVTS), the EU Vocational Education and Training (EU-VET) data collection and education modules included in different household surveys (eg LFS). Conceptual work on classifications (eg fields of education and training) as well as on other issues (eg measuring lifelong learning) is also included. The activities in the area of cultural statistics were developed in the framework of the Leadership Group (LEG) on Culture.
EMAS in Eurostat i EMAS (the Eco-Management and Audit Scheme) is the European Commission's environmental management system since 2002. Here you will find information and documents of interest.
EMIS Annexes i This interest group contains documents which are annexes for Euro SDMX Metadata Structure (ESMS). These documents are directly linked to the reference metadata files held in Explanatory Metadata Information System (EMIS Application). Each Eurostat domain manager with EMIS user rights may load their annexes files (html or pdf) in this interest group.
Employment and unemployment i The domain will present metadata on employment series (Quarterly Labour Force Data, Job Vacancy and Strikes statistics). It will complement the main employment SDDS files available on Eurostat web site, presenting more detailed methodological information on data quality (availability, comparability and reliability).

Entrepreneurship Indicators i This site is devoted to the OECD/Eurostat project on entrepreneurship indicators (EIP). The project was initiated by OECD in 2006 and is governed by a steering group consisting of experts from the statistical as well as the policy area. The target of EIP is to establish of a set of harmonized indicators to measure entrepreneurship world-wide and to compare the related performance and its consequences between countries. To ensure comparability between countries, the EIP will produce a methodological manual for entrepreneurship indicators. For further information, please consult the "INFORMATION" item. Quarterly Accounts by Institutional Sector i This group deals with the development of sector accounts at the national and European levels. In particular, it reports on the activities of the taskforce "Quarterly Sector Accounts" (TF-QSA) that has been mandated by the Comittee on Monetary, Financial and Balance of Payments statistics (CMFB) to tackle the following main tasks: (1) the regular assessment of quarterly (table 0801Q) and annual (table 0800A) data transmissions (2) methodological work on national sector accounts and European compilation (treatment of EU institutions, removal of intra-flows, treatment of asymmetries ...) SODI (X-DIS) i SODI (SDMX Open Data Interchange) is a program to implement data sharing in the European Statistical System using the SDMX standard. SODI concentrates in the first two years on the PEEI, and will then be extended to other suitable data flows. The Eurostat Transport Unit extranet (virtual community) on CIRCA contains information and documents related to statistics on all the modes of transport (meeting documents, data monitoring, legal acts and rules for implementation, nomenclatures, methodology, administrative information, ...).

To have a full access to all the documents contained in CIRCA-Transport (the draft publications in validation and meeting reimbursement forms), you must first login with a user-id recognised as a member of CIRCA-DSIS-Transport. Membership is restricted to Eurostat's Working Group Members and partners. All other documents are accessible to the public without a login.

To become member of CIRCA-DSIS-Transport you must first "Sign up" and then send a request (with your user-id) to Eurostat transport unit (estat-transport@ec.europa.eu).
